We are excited to announce that Take Our Kids to Work Day (TOKTWD) is back for 2023! Take Our Kids to Work Day is part of a national event that is designed to be more than a career day. “Exposing children to what a parent or mentor does during the workday is important, but showing them the value of their education, helping them discover the power and possibilities of work and family life, providing boys and girls a chance to share how they envision the future, and allowing them to begin steps toward their goals in a hands-on and interactive environment is key to their achieving success.”
The event is scheduled for Thursday, April 27, 2023. TOKTWD is a campus wide event for the children and grandchildren, grades 2 – 12, of WKU employees.
We are looking for campus departments, colleges, and organizations to host fun, hands-on and interactive educational experiences that highlight our campus. Both morning and afternoon time slots are available in 30-minute or 90-minute increments. Some examples from years past are, Science in Action at Crumps Cave, Slime Time, and Isolate Your Own DNA. Any program that highlights our campus is welcome! A special thank you to our past session hosts, we hope you will participate again this year!
If you would like to host a session, please complete the proposal form by Friday, February 17th using the link below:
