Did you know you can still make a contribution to your HSA for 2017 when you file your taxes this year? If you did not max out your HSA through payroll contributions during the 2017 calendar year, you can make an after tax contribution up until the 4/17/18 tax filing deadline and claim an additional tax deduction.
The 2017 HSA contribution limit is for $3,400 single coverage and $6,750 for family coverage (plus an additional $1,000 if age 55 or older). The limit includes both employer and employee contributions.
