Advisory Board


The M.A.S.T.E.R. Plan Advisory Board is comprised of current WKU students who strive to ensure a meaningful experience for all students participating in M.A.S.T.E.R. Plan.

 


 

  • Planning engaging social activities and special events for the M.A.S.T.E.R. Plan program
  • Overseeing the recruitment, selection, and training of M.A.S.T.E.R. Plan Mentors

 


 

The Advisory Board is comprised of five current WKU students serving in the following positions:

  • Socials Chair
  • Marketing Chair
  • Big Red’s Blitz Chair
  • Membership Co-Chair

 

Co/Chairs are responsible for:

  • Completing assigned job tasks
  • Making recommendations to the Board
  • Voting on decisions that ultimately shape the M.A.S.T.E.R. Plan program for the next year’s incoming class

 

While each Co/Chair is responsible for different aspects of the M.A.S.T.E.R. Plan program, the Board functions as a whole. The Co/Chair positions complement each other and work together to ensure the success of the program.

 


  

Advisory Board members:

  • Should have at least one year of M.A.S.T.E.R. Plan Mentor or Resident Assistant experience (preferred), and
  • Must have attended M.A.S.T.E.R. Plan as a student participant (required)

Two references

References may include current or past employers, professors, advisors, other university staff members, and/or community leaders.

References cannot be current WKU undergraduate students or family members.

Names, titles, phone numbers, and email addresses for each reference are required.

 A 250-word response addressing the provided prompt (see below).

It is highly recommended to compose your response in a Word document and then paste it into the provided text box.

Share your most memorable WKU M.A.S.T.E.R. Plan experience (as a student participant, M.A.S.T.E.R. Plan Mentor, or Resident Assistant). Explain how serving in an Advisory Board position will allow you to provide a similiar, memorable experience for new students participating in the next M.A.S.T.E.R. Plan.

 

Prompt for Returning Advisory Board Member Applicants

What skills have you acquired/honed as a result of serving on the M.A.S.T.E.R. Plan Advisory Board? In what ways will these skills contribute to the success of the Advisory Board and M.A.S.T.ER. Plan for the upcoming year? How will serving another year on the Advisory Board further your personal growth and development?
