Lisa Goode Hussung obtained a Master of Music Education and Bachelor of Music Education degree from Murray State University in Murray, Kentucky. Mrs. Hussung's primary area of study was music education with a major in voice and minor in piano. She studied voice with Kay Gardner Bates while at Murray State University. Currently, Mrs. Hussung is the music instructor at Rich Pond Elementary School in Bowling Green, KY, a position that she has been in since 1998. Prior to teaching at Rich Pond Elementary, she taught part time and then full time as Music Instructor at Hopkinsville Community College(UK) in Hopkinsville, KY and K-8 music for Lame Deer Public School System on the Northern Cheyenne Reservation in Lame Deer, Montana. Mrs. Hussung has been an adjunct instructor at Western Kentucky University in vocal music and music appreciation. Mrs. Hussung conducted the Kentucky Baptist All State Children's Choir in 2005 and 2007. She was named Kentucky Music Educator's Association Elementary Teacher of the Year for 2007. Mrs. Hussung resides in Bowling Green with her husband Steve and sons, Jeremiah and Benjamin.
