Music Appreciation 120
Todd Woodward is a native of Glasgow and graduated from WKU in 1984 with a Bachelor's Degree in Education with an area of concentration in Music. He has taught private piano lessons for 10 years before beginning his classroom teaching career in Metcalfe County Schools. After that, he taught music in the Glasgow Independent School system where he currently teaches art at Highland Elementary. He and his wife are also the Ministers of Music for the First United Methodist Church in Glasgow where we have worked as the directors since 1979.
I really enjoy teaching Music Appreciation because in most cases it gives me the opportunity to open my student's minds to a whole new world of music. Since we study all the different styles of music from the Middle Ages to today, they can truly begin to appreciate the wide variety of music the world has to offer.
Western Kentucky University is a fully accredited member of the National Association of Schools of Music since 1948.
