Woodwind Ensemble
Directed by John Cipolla
The WKU Woodwind Ensembles (Clarinet Ensemble and Saxophone Ensemble) are chamber music ensembles directed by Dr. John Cipolla. In these ensembles, students develop skills such as blending, intonation, rhythm, and tone. This chamber ensemble experience offers the student a chance to explore subtle phrasing aspects and a variety of styles that will help them become a better individual player as well as a better small and large ensemble player. The ensembles meet in the fall semester and perform at least one concert. The Woodwind Ensemble presupposes that the student has attained reasonable pre-college ability as a performer. Students are assigned one person per part. For more information about the WKU Woodwind Ensembles (Clarinet Ensemble and Saxophone Ensemble), please contact Dr. John Cipolla.
