CHIN101 is an introductory course designed for students with little to no prior knowledge of Mandarin Chinese. The course focuses on building foundational skills in speaking, listening, reading, and writing. Students will learn basic vocabulary, sentence structures, and pronunciation while exploring aspects of Chinese culture and everyday life. By the end of the course, students will be able to engage in simple conversations and comprehend basic texts in Mandarin.

3 Credit Hours

CHIN102 builds upon the skills developed in CHIN101, advancing students' proficiency in Mandarin Chinese. This course emphasizes expanding vocabulary, enhancing grammar understanding, and improving fluency in both spoken and written communication. Students will engage in more complex dialogues, read longer passages, and continue exploring cultural contexts. By the end of CHIN102, students will be able to handle a wider range of conversational topics and comprehend more detailed written materials.
