Journalism & Broadcasting: Faculty member elected to NPPA board
Brad Pfranger, assistant professor of broadcasting in WKU’s School of Journalism & Broadcasting, has been elected to the National Press Photographers Association Board of Directors.
Pfranger replaces Mark Dolan, who was elected NPPA’s vice president.
Pfranger, who has been at WKU since the fall of 2011, teaches basic broadcast news, field production, news videography and editing, and broadcast sports and serves as advisor for NewsChannel 12.
Before coming to WKU, Pfranger was a television photojournalist for WZTV in Nashville, Tenn., and KSLA in Shreveport, La. He received his bachelor’s degree from the University of Mississippi and master’s degree from Vanderbilt University. (Read more about him at http://www.wku.edu/journalism/staff/bradley_pfranger)
