McKenzie Day
WKU Theatre and Dance Alum
Mckenzie Day began her dance training in Franklin, TN, and followed that passion through college and into her professional life. At Western Kentucky University, Day majored in Dance and English Literature and was an active member of the student chapter of the National Dance Education Organization. As committee head, she made community events "Dance Craze" and "Yoga/Meditation" accessible to the public. After graduation, Day began teaching at studios, schools, and recreation centers in the Nashville area.
She found her home in Memphis and feels honored to teach, train, and perform in this artistically rich area. Currently, Day dances and choreographs with the Hot Foot Honeys, teaches creative dance at Vision Prep Charter School, tap and ballet for New Ballet outreach, and choreographs for Graceland performing Arts Camp.
