As a Performing Arts major at WKU, Ruby showed us her passion for live theatre, in such roles as "Mother" in Ragtime and Mrs Johnstone in Blood Brothers. She also performed in Sweeney Todd and The Gondoliers while at WKU. On Lewis' website, she writes how her WKU professors "aided [her] in building the confidence it takes to pursue an acting career."

She even has some advice for a freshman version of herself: "Be serious about all aspects of the business. Spend a lot of time being kind to yourself. People will follow up with who I've worked with before, so you need to be dependable and smart about things."
