WKU Band Staff

In his role as Director of Athletic Bands, Dr. McCurry serves as the director of the Big Red Marching Band and the University Pep Bands.  In his 20 years as a music educator, he has written and taught drill and music for marching bands across Tennessee, West Virginia, and now Kentucky.  If you have any questions about the Big Red Marching Band or the University Pep Bands, contact Dr. McCurry.

Dr. Schallert serves as the Director of Bands at Western Kentucky University.  In this role, Dr. Schallert oversees all parts of the University Band Program, including the athletic bands.  Dr. Schallert, having taught marching bands for many years across the US, is a very visible part of the WKU Marching Band Program.  If you have questions about the WKU Band Program, contact Dr. Schallert.
