WKU Business Plan Competition Winners Compete at Regionals This Week

Three WKU students will be taking their business plan ideas to Owensboro on Tuesday, March 24, 2015 for the regional stop in the Idea State U Competition, a nationally-recognized business plan competition designed to encourage innovation and entrepreneurship on the collegiate level.
WKU students competing in Tuesday’s regional competition are:
- Jae Craycraft, an Entrepreneurship major from Owingsville, KY, with the QuickPark App
- Samantha McCormick, an Entrepreneurship major from Bowling Green, with Taboo Dance & Fitness
- Cody Zimmerman, an Interdisciplinary Studies major from Morgantown, KY, with Zimmerman’s Coffee Roaster
These three students will be scored on their written business plans, a 60-second marketing video, a tradeshow-style tabletop display, and a 15-minute oral presentation. The top four student teams at this regional event will receive cash prizes and advance to the final competition to be held in Lexington in April.
The regional competition will take place at Owensboro Community & Technical College at 1 p.m..
The Gordon Ford College of Business is a top business school with dual AACSB accreditation in both business and accounting programs.
