- Tuesday, April 3rd, 2018
Two WKU Accounting students of the Gordon Ford College of Business were selected to receive scholarship for 2018 through the Kentucky Society of CPAs Educational Foundation.
Ms. Jordan Cummings, a sophomore Accounting major from Bowling Green and Ms. Elizabeth Manning, a senior Accounting major from Louisville, will receive scholarships of at least $1,000 each.
“We are proud of these accomplished students,” said Dr. Harold Little, Chair of the Department of Accounting. “The committee receives more than 80 applications each year, so the competition is intense.”
The students will be recognized at the Spring Awards Banquet of April 27 at the Omni Louisville Hotel.
“The Gordon Ford College of Business has a long tradition of accounting education excellence,” said Dr. Jeff Katz, Dean of the GFCB. “The students selected by the Kentucky Society of CPAs have clearly distinguished themselves as outstanding in their studies and will certainly be excellent future accountants. They effectively represent the many dedicated students that our College is proud to serve.”
The KyCPA Educational Foundation awards more than $63,000 in scholarships to college students across the Commonwealth each year.
The Gordon Ford College of Business is a top business school with dual AACSB accreditation in both business and accounting programs.
