Hilltopper Honors Parents With Grad Cap

Bianca Soma is a marketing graduate from Albany, Ky., who knew she would be a Hilltopper since she was in high school but didn’t know she wanted to be a business student until she changed majors about four times.
“This College easily became my favorite!” She said. “The professors are what really make GFCB so great. I can easily say every single professor I’ve had the chance to take has truly cared about their students and wants them to learn. I’ve always learned something no matter what class I enrolled in.”
Bianca’s decorated grad cap won the GFCB contest, garnering more likes and comments than other entries. She said inspiration for the cap came from her father.
“I love to travel so I knew I wanted the globe on there in some aspect. The quote honestly came from my dad. I am always trying to thrive for more in life; I want that because my parents have always gave me so much. One day, I just want to be able to repay them for even a quarter of what they’ve given me. Me sitting on top drinking a glass of champagne is just a representation of me celebrating reaching my goals!”
