Heather graduated from WKU in 2009 with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting. Then she went on to obtain her Master of Accountancy at the College of Charleston in South Carolina. After graduating College of Charleston in 2010, she came back to Bowling Green and started her career at Fruit of the Loom as a Cost Analyst. She spent two years and had the pleasure of traveling to their manufacturing facilities in Honduras and El Salvador where she gained valuable managerial and cost accounting experience. This experience she brings to the classroom while teaching her introducing accounting courses. After Fruit of the Loom, Heather began her career at the Western Kentucky University Foundation in 2012. While at the WKU Foundation she was the Assistant Director of General Accounting. The financial and fund accounting experience she gained there also comes into her classroom experience. In the Fall of 2021, Heather joined the GFCB faculty as a full-time professor. Heather lives in Bowling Green and is married to a fellow WKU Accounting graduate, Aaron, and they have two children Ella and Noah.
