Rahul Nilakantan has a PhD in Economics from the University of Southern California and a PhD in Logistics & Supply Chain Management from Georgia Southern University. His research interests include last-mile supply chain, bottom of the pyramid, and financial inclusion. His research has appeared in the Journal of Business Logistics, International Journal of Physical Distribution & Logistics Management, Journal of the Operational Research Society, and Journal of Business Ethics, among others. Rahul's teaching interests are in Operations Management, Supply Chain Management, and Quantitative Methods. Prior to joining WKU, Rahul has taught at the Indian Institute of Management Indore (a top 10 business school in India), and the Gokhale Institute of Politics and Economics. He has also consulted on financial inclusion and impact assessment with MFIs, NGOs, and State Governments in India.
