Biography

Dr. Locke’s research is focused in the areas of environmental economics, urban economics, and industrial organization. Prior to joining the faculty at Western Kentucky University he spent two years as a Postdoctoral Researcher in the Institute of the Environment and Sustainability at UCLA where he was involved in several field experiments that measured the effectiveness of information strategies on energy conservation behavior. His current research projects focus on on real estate and housing markets. Dr. Locke’s research has been published or is forthcoming in Energy Policy, Land Economics, Research in Economics, Energy Economics, Sports Economics, and Contemporary Economic Policy, and Real Estate Finance and Economics.
