Student Awards

The department awards several awards each year to a set of outstanding students. Below is a list of all awards followed by previous winners.

• Yarbrough Award: For a senior graduating in the current or previous semester
• Lowman Award: For a graduating senior with a focus in secondary mathematics education
• Middle Grades Award: For a graduating senior with a focus in middle grades mathematics education
• Johnson Award: For a 3rd year student (junior or non-graduating senior)
• Pi Mu Epsilon Award: For a 2nd year student
• Bueker Award: For a 1st year student
• Fruit of the Loom Undergraduate Award: For an outstanding undergraduate with an interest in applied/industrial mathematics
• Fruit of the Loom Graduate Award: For an outstanding graduate student with an interest in applied/industrial mathematics
• Outstanding MA Graduate Student Award: For an outstanding graduate student in the MA program
• Outstanding MS Graduate Student Award: For an outstanding graduate student in the MS program
