3/11/25 KTH Rooftop Obervatory
- Wednesday, March 12th, 2025

Students and members of the public observe a nearly-full moon, Jupiter and its Galilean moons, the Orion
Nebula, and other features of the night sky. Chris Chandler, Western Kentucky University’s Planetarium
Coordinator, can be seen providing astronomy information to eager listeners. Hilltopper Astronomy Club
members provided telescopes and live viewings of the moon using astronomical cameras. Many attended to hear
about how to observe the total lunar eclipse that happened early on 3/14/25.
A community of faculty, staff, and students engaged in better understanding the physical world.
