The Triune Brain and Relationships

2:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. CST via Zoom

The Triune Brain model is frequently referred to in trauma-informed based training modalities, such as EMDR, Brainspotting and Somatic Experiencing. It is often used to help explain to both parents and children how and why they react, respond and behave the way that do. The model will be introduced and explained, including how brain activity can manifest symptomatically of DSM diagnoses. Additionally, specific assessment protocol and interventions will be discussed.

Alumna of Western Kentucky University, Emilee completed a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology (2022) as well as a Master of Arts in Education in Clinical Mental Health Counseling (2024).
