Alysia Klein comes to Western Kentucky University from the University of Utah Asia Campus in South Korea where she was Program Lead of the Film and Media Arts department for the past five years. She is an educator and filmmaker focusing on Science-Fiction, Horror, Screendance, and Experimental film and has taught more than ten unique courses in film studies and film production. Professor Klein has been involved in and has produced a number of films, winning awards for best cinematography, best production design, and best film. She received her Master of Fine Arts in Film and Media Arts from the University of Utah and her Bachelor of Fine Arts in Theater and Dance from the University of Wyoming. In addition to film, Professor Klein is also an accomplished dancer and choreographer. She has received over twenty awards for outstanding choreography both regionally and nationally.
