 Weather Cancellation Policy

 

What should I do if our school system is closed for inclement weather on the day of a School Group Performance? 

We hope that the weather does not affect your upcoming School Group performance; however, the safety of your students is the most important thing.  If your school system is closed due to weather and your trip must be cancelled, please call and email us as soon as possible at theatredanceoffice@wku.edu and 270-745-5845 (leave a voice mail, if necessary).  We would like to be notified that same morning, as soon as the decision to cancel is made.  We will contact the WKU Accounting Office to void your invoice.  You will not be charged if your group misses a show because your school system was closed for weather or other emergencies. 

 

What should I do if WKU is closed for inclement weather on the day of a School Group Performance? 

In the event that Western Kentucky University should delay classes or close on the morning of a school group performance, the performance will be cancelled.  There will be an announcement by 6:00 am from the Provost's office at WKU.  It will be posted on WKU's main webpage and will be announced on local television stations and radio.  We will also attempt to call and email the contact person listed for each school group.  Your invoice will be voided and there will be no charge should WKU be closed on a performance day.
