At WKU you can choose from more than 100 undergraduate programs of study and more than 70 graduate programs. WKU also has an 18:1 student/faculty ratio so it’s easy to ask questions and get to know your professors on a personal level.
Succeed in Academics
WKU is home to many highly ranked and nationally-recognized academic programs such as Journalism and Broadcasting, Education, Engineering, Business and our award-winning speech and debate team. More than 21,000 students grace our campuses in Bowling Green, Glasgow, Owensboro and Elizabethtown. Each semester students travel to Harlaxton College in Grantham, England while other students circumnavigate the globe with the Semester at Sea program. With over 170 undergraduate programs of study and over 70 graduate programs you can definitely find what you are looking for at WKU!
A Thriving and Diverse Campus
The spirit of WKU is campus-wide both on and off the playing field. The university’s athletic program is extensive, including 15 Division I varsity teams in 10 different sports. Cheer on our Hilltoppers in basketball, baseball, cross country, football, golf, soccer, softball, tennis, track and field, and volleyball.
Student organizations and academic clubs are a great way to meet people and try new things. WKU currently has more than 300 student organizations so it’s easy to find the right one for you. WKU and the city of Bowling Green also offer activities throughout the year such as the International Festival. There are also many clubs that are focused on the international community.
We also have a safe community and are recognized as one of only three certified safe campuses in the US. The international diplomats are here to provide support and help students as they adjust to university life.
