Please join us for a panel of WKU students who will examine how literature bridges
cultural differences while also revealing cultural distinctions. The panel will feature
original student research on novels by authors from Africa, Iran, and the United
States with special attention to issues of race, gender, adolescence, and identity in a
global context. Questions and discussion from the audience will be encouraged!
Presentation Titles: Title of Hayley Watson's Presentation: "Coming of Age in
America and Iran"; Title of Rachel Hunter's Presentation: "Gender and Bodies in
Achebe and Morrison"; Title of Fatin Yaro's Presentation: "Friendship & Survival"

GLIA, in conjunction with Harlaxton College, will provide an up-to-date presentation of safe international travel during and after COVID-19. GLIA will also discuss the travel appeal process at WKU and respond to questions from students, faculty, and staff about international travel.
