Nancy Hill Cron, soprano, received her Bachelor's degree in Music Education and her Master's degree in Vocal Performance from Western Kentucky University. Ms. Cron has taught public school music (K-12) in Russellville, Hardin county and Bowling Green. She has been teaching at Western since 1994 where she has taught courses in group piano, sight-singing/ear-training, music education and voice. She presently teaches voice at Western, and was formerly the choir director at Christ Episcopal Church and the assistant director of the Young Women's Chorus of KY. Ms.Cron was a finalist in the NATS regional competition at both the undergraduate and graduate levels. She has appeared as soprano soloist in performances of Haydn's Creation, Handel's Messiah, Orff's Carmina Burana, Bach's Christmas Oratorio, Mendelssohn's Hymn of Praise, Faure's Requiem, Mozart's Coronation Mass and Mass in C Minor. Her opera roles include: Adele in Die Fledermaus, Siebel in Faust, Frasquita in Carmen, Lucy in The Telephone and Amahl in Amahl and the Night Visitors. Ms. Cron continues to perform as a recital soloist and she has been the recording voice for the KY All-State Children's Choir and the Jr. High All-State Chorus. Ms. Cron is a participating member of the National Associaiton of Teacher's of Singing (NATS).
