The Music Teachers National Association (MTNA) named the WKU Collegiate Chapter of MTNA as the 2025 Collegiate Chapter of the Year

The Music Teachers National Association (MTNA) recently named the WKU Collegiate Chapter of MTNA as the 2025 Collegiate Chapter of the Year. The MTNA WKU Collegiate Chapter was selected for this national award out of collegiate chapters across the nation and will be recognized at the 2025 MTNA National Conference in Minneapolis in March 2025. Katie Drybrough, Graduate Student in Piano Pedagogy and chapter president, will accept the award on behalf of the chapter.
The WKU Collegiate Chapter’s work over the past two years includes a lecture presentation at the Kentucky Music Teachers Association State Conference, attending multiple state and national level conferences and festivals as part of professional development, working with local non-profit, Refuge Bowling Green, and organizing two community fundraisers for the WKU Piano Studio.
The 2024-2025 Collegiate Chapter Members include Kate Drybrough (President), Dalton Childress (Vice President), Adeline Carpenter (Secretary), Grace Satriano (Historian), Anna Donovan (Treasurer), Camden Clark (Member), Addy Dunn (Member), Christian Camp (Member), and Macy Brown (Member). Jessie Welsh, Pedagogical Assistant Professor of Piano, serves as the faculty supervisor for the chapter.
Western Kentucky University is a fully accredited member of the National Association of Schools of Music since 1948.
