Advising FAQs


  • After an advising session select the student you have just advised: TopNet > Advisors & Student Data Entry > Advisees Eligible to Register > Select student
  • Click on the “Advisors & Student Data Entry” tab again > Click “Holds Update” under “Student Info/Maintenance”
  • Change “not advised” to “advised” under the “see advisor” registration hold type
  • After an advising session select the student you have just advised: TopNet > Advisors & Student Data Entry > Advisees Eligible to Register > Select student
  • Click on the “Advisors & Student Data Entry” tab again > select General Student Comments under the “Advising/Administrative Tasks” section
  • Select > Overall Follow-Up
