- Wednesday, February 20th, 2013
WKU faculty, staff and students interested in joining the Kentucky Academy of Science may do so for free because WKU is a 2013 Enhanced KAS Affiliate. Membership in KAS is open to anyone with an interest in science. KAS members are eligible to apply for research grants, submit manuscripts for publication in the Journal of the Kentucky Academy of Science (JKAS), receive complimentary electronic access to the JKAS, and are entitled to discount KAS meeting registration fees.
To become a (free) enhanced KAS member, visit http://www.kyscience.org, click Join, and select the Enhanced Member option. Use your WKU e-mail address for registration. Note: If you are already a member of KAS, your membership will be automatically updated for 2013 and no action is required.
Dr. Cheryl Davis, professor of biology at WKU, is 2013 KAS president. Other members of the KAS Governing Board from WKU are Dr. Ken Crawford and Dr. Claire Rinehart.
