I attended the Audubon Bee School on March 7th, which is always held on the first Saturday in March each year in Henderson KY. There was a large number of fellow Beekeepers that braved the somewhat less than ideal driving conditions to attend. The attendance was reported to be around 225 excited bee folks. There was great slate of presenters from Kentucky and surrounding states on the program for the daylong event. There was a wide range of programs available for the attendees to gain knowledge about Beekeeping. There were classes for all levels of beekeepers, from beginners to intermediate to advanced, alone with Beyond the Hive classes, which covered cooking with honey. The school was attended by a large group of beginning beekeepers alone with a large number of experienced beekeepers. I presented two programs, one on Honeybee pheromones and another on Honeybee anatomy. This event was a great learning opportunity for all and a great time was had. Hope to see all there next year.
