20 students attend WKU Department of Agriculture ASSET Conference

WKU’s Department of Agriculture hosted 20 students June 10-14 for the ASSET (Agriculture Students Striving for Effective Tomorrows) Conference.
The five-day conference is designed for students who have completed their junior year of high school and are interested in attending college and studying agriculture. The conference focuses on activities that consist of leadership, communication and social development and making the most of a college experience, and creates awareness of the opportunities within the agriculture industry.
ASSET participants included Bryce Bays of Corbin; Jasmine Benningfield of Magnolia; Samuel Benton of Drakesboro; Nicole Bratcher of Bowling Green; Alex Burke of Hardinsburg; Mykayla Clark of Valrico, Florida; Britney Cox of Shelbyville; Katie (Grace) French of Elizabethtown; Dorothy Gomez of Morgantown; Holly Hamilton of Frankfort; Carley King of Strunk; Erica Maples of Lexington; Madison Mason of Princeton; Chloe Mattingly of Lebanon; Zach Milam of Olmstead; Hannah Price of Russellville; Makenzie Raymer of Quality; Selena Rodriguez of Bowling Green; Rachel Taylor of Auburn; and Lillie Wood of Shelbyville.
