Psychological Sciences faculty member elected as Research Division Chair for American Association of Suicidology

Dr. Amy Brausch, professor in WKU’s Department of Psychological Sciences, has been elected as Research Division Chair and Board Member for the American Association of Suicidology.
Dr. Brausch’s research program focuses on the development, prevention and treatment of suicide across the lifespan. Her research on suicide risk in adolescents is currently funded by the National Institute of Mental Health, and she has an active research lab at WKU with undergraduate and graduate students.
“I have been a member of the American Association of Suicidology for many years,” she said. “I am honored to serve as Research Division chair and have the opportunity to energize the incredible research members of AAS as we continue to work tirelessly on suicide prevention.”
Her three-year term began in late April.
