Stormwater expert to present WKU lecture Oct. 8

Municipal stormwater expert Andrew J. (Andy) Reese will present Voodoo Hydrology – Urban Hydrology and How to Avoid Common Mistakes as part of the WKU School of Engineering and Applied Sciences’ Bell Lecture Series.
Reese, vice president for AMEC Earth and Environmental in Nashville, Tenn., will present his lecture via Zoom at 7 p.m. Oct. 8. Register online at https://www.wku.edu/seas/belllectureseries.php
Reese is considered a widely experienced and well-known municipal stormwater expert. In the last 30 years his clients have included federal agencies, states, over 100 municipalities and private sector industrial and development interests.
His current focus is municipal stormwater management with special emphasis on Green Infrastructure and sustainable design and stormwater financing. He has managed complex Green Infrastructure master plans and designs and has led in over 50 stormwater funding projects including some of the largest and most organizationally complex in the United States.
Reese has published over 45 articles and papers nationally and internationally; co-authored an authoritative 1,400 page, textbook: Municipal Storm Water Management, now in second edition; and was the principal author of the nationally popular Georgia Stormwater Management Manual as well as over 20 stormwater and site design manuals.
