Minor in Child Studies


The minor in Child Studies (reference number 336) requires a minimum of 21 semester hours. A grade of “C” or above must be earned in the following Family and Consumer Science (FACS) courses required for the minor:

  • FACS 191
  • FACS 297
  • FACS 395
  • FACS 492
  • FACS 494
  • Plus 6 hours of approved electives chosen in consultation with departmental advisor.

A minor is required for most major areas of study at WKU. Please note: Students majoring in the child studies concentration may not minor in child studies.
