Our Campus Facilities
The WKU Department of Physics and Astronomy departmental office is located on the second floor of Thompson Complex for Science, Center Wing (TCCW) in room 246. Thompson Complex (building number 68 on the map below) is nearly on "top of the hill" on Western's campus at the intersection of State Street and 13th Street. Additional departmental facilities are located in Ogden College Hall (building 67 below) and the adjacent Hardin Planetarium (building number 70), an easily recognizable landmark.
Directions and Parking
If visiting us you may follow the general directions to the WKU Campus from either Nashville, Owensboro or Louisville areas which will direct you to the Alumni Square Parking Garage (building 3 below) and the Welcome Center in the Eva and Jim Martens Alumni Center (building 1).
Additional metered parking is also available closer to the science campus if you prefer in the Chestnut Street North parking lot at the corner of 14th Avenue and Chestnut Street. The metered parking spots are along the front (Chestnut Street side) and side (14th Street) of the parking lot. This lot is shown in the map below as the grey area just inside the right edge of the oval indicating the WKU Science Campus buldings.
