As we are all acutely aware, this is an election year and, regardless of our content, it can be difficult to keep all the noise out of our classes. With this in mind, now is an important time to be thinking about how best to handle difficult and/or potentially uncomfortable situations that may arise in our classrooms. Led by a panel of experienced faculty, we will present a variety of scenarios and then discuss ways in which you might respond as well as how you might recover or repair the overall classroom dynamic moving forward. Additionally, we also plan to talk through ways in which we can productively talk with our students about these sensitive issues and help them better navigate conversations and disagreements. We hope that you will join us!
