Exeter, Devon, Great Britain – January 6, 2020 – Bang2Write, England’s foremost online screenwriting community, has named WKU M.F.A. Screenwriting Graduate Student Jon Meyers as the first US Moderator of B2W’s collaborative hub, Bang2Writers. Bang2Writers is an online resource for professional writers, with an emphasis on screenwriting and novel writing, run by novelist/script editor/screenwriting instructor Lucy V. Hay of Bang2Write. Renowned for its “no nonsense, detailed writing and career advice, Bang2write was picked as one of the “Top 100 Websites for Writers” by The Write Life in 2017, 2018, and 2019. It is also in Feedspot’s “Top 10 Screenwriting Blogs,” placing Number One in the United Kingdom. “Jon Meyers is such an engaged and helpful member of the B2W community, we recently asked him to become the first US moderator of the group,” say Hay. “We look forward to him taking over our Monday Mini Win feature, and he has already assisted members with queries and helped facilitate discussion. He is a valued member and is recommended most highly.” Meyers is also one of the twenty-four hourly hosts of DePaul’s Scott Myers’s monthly screenwriting marathon. He is excited to add the Bang2Writers moderator position to his online presence. “Lucy is so selective and protective of her online brand,” says Meyers. “I am beyond ecstatic that she has chosen me to take over the Monday segment – plus serve as the only daily moderator based in the US. Since I’m already known as an encourager, I think my unique brand of positivity will be a good fit for the weekly segment celebrating writing victories and career advancements of other writers.” Jon Meyers has a B.A. in Film and an M.A. in English from Western Kentucky University. He is currently a first year M.F.A. student in Creative Writing/Screenwriting also at Western Kentucky University. For more information on Jon Meyers, go to www.jonmeyersscripts.com.
