Biography

Jane Fife earned degrees at Indiana University and University of Louisville.  When not reading or talking/writing about recent reading, she likes to visit historic sites with her family or spot bugs for her husband to photograph on hikes in the woods. Snape is her favorite Harry Potter character, although she thinks she is most like Hermione Granger and could stand to be a bit more like Minerva MacGonagall.

Teaching Philosophy

Dr. Fife believes that the most important components of learning are motivation and curiosity. These elements have to be supplied by the learner, but they can often be activated by the teacher, so that’s what good teachers have to learn to do.
