John Conley is a professional pedagogue dedicated to building alliances with students and fostering a student-centered classroom environment. He is committed to serving diverse students with diverse educational goals, and to furthering the projects of affordable and accessible higher education. Originally from West Virginia, he studied English and Humanities/Classics at Ohio Wesleyan University as an undergrad, and received his Ph.D. from the Department of Cultural Studies and Comparative Literature at the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities in 2008.
