Transportation News

The following parking and transit changes will be in effect during Winter Intersession from Monday, December 9, 2024 - Friday, January 17, 2025.

·         Parking: 

o   All student lots (Housing and Commuter) are open with no permit required.

o   Faculty / staff zones, reserved spaces, metered parking, and safety violations will be enforced as usual.

o   Parking Structure 3 and Russellville Road West will be closed with lights off.  

     **  Russellville Road West Lot will not reopen in the Spring.  Displaced C6 permit holders will have available parking in the Overflow Zones (OZ) on Main Campus (portion of Creason Lot adjacent to Parking Structure 3, Russellville Road Lot, Service Supply Lot, back portion of Chestnut Street South Lot, and portion of Park Street Lot).

o   While the University is closed, Saturday, December 14, 2024 – Sunday, January 5, 2025, all lots are open except for lots reserved in support of basketball event operations. 

o   Students leaving a vehicle on campus during Winter Break should park in one of the interior campus lots:  Poland Lot, Normal Hall Lot, Regents Hall Lot, Minton Lot, or PS1. 

·         Transit: 

o    No transit services including ADA/On-Demand from Monday, December 9, 2024 – Friday, January 17, 2025.

Enforcement of Housing lots begins on Monday, January 20, 2025 at 4:30 PM.  Normal parking regulations and transit services resume on Tuesday, January 21, 2025.  Please direct any questions to Parking and Transportation Services at 270-745-2361 or transportation@wku.edu.
