CITL Professional Learning Communities(PLC) provide the opportunity for a group of interdisciplinary faculty to discuss and reflect on a variety of topics related to teaching, the scholarship of teaching, active and deep learning, and other forms of faculty life, including scholarly and creative activities.
First Gen Advocates PLC
In this participant-driven professional learning community (PLC), we will aimto build community among first-generation faculty advocates, learn about the nuances of first-generation identity and experiences, and examine how to effectively help first-generation students succeed.Participants will engage with weekly readings, conduct self-reflection of current teaching practices, and explore how to optimize first-generation students’ experience.
