Using generative AI tools involves creating prompts to generate outcomes: The better the prompt, the better the outcome. One opportunity for those using AI in the classroom involves teaching students how to ask thoughtful questions that include the desired role (telling AI to act as), the task (a summary of what the AI needs to do), the requirements (what needs to be included), and the instructions (what AI should do to act on the prompt). In this session, we'll demonstrate how to focus our students on questioning and process in their use of AI tools.
