International Student Orientation

Orientation and many of its components are MANDATORY for J-1 students. For information about the orientation dates and schedule, visit http://www.wku.edu/international/orientation.php.

The orientation will also provide you with a chance to meet staff, learn about immigration requirements, and interact with other students. You will receive important information about campus facilities and services, J-1 visa regulations, and US culture and have opportunities to participate in social events.

Upon arrival, students who are living on campus will need to have their student ID number available for check-in. Students who have chosen to live off-campus are responsible for working with their private housing organization to schedule check-in and ensure that you arrive during office hours. If you arrive prior to the official check-in date, you will need to arrange hotel accommodations or summer housing. For more information on temporary summer housing, click here.
