  • Installation of wallpaper, wallpaper border or contact paper on the walls and doors of the room or bathroom is prohibited.
  • The use of adhesive material of any kind on drywall is prohibited.
  • This includes “drywall-safe” items like 3M Command Strips, painters tape, etc.
  • Adhesive LED light strips are prohibited from all campus residence halls.
  • No adhesives should be placed on furniture.
  • The use of nails, screws, and staples on walls, doors, and furniture is prohibited.
  • Residents may use straight pins and thumb tacks to hang decor items on drywall.
  • Students will be charged for any damage incurred in their room while they lived there.
  • Students are asked to record any existing damage at check-in on their Check-In Room Inspection on the Housing Portal.

Concrete Halls

  • Installation of wallpaper, wallpaper border or contact paper on the walls and doors of the room or bathroom is prohibited.
  • The use of adhesive material of any kind on any drywall portion of your wall is prohibited.

  • While these adhesives are less likely to cause damage, please be aware that they still may result in a damage charge if used incorrectly.
  • Adhesive LED light strips are prohibited from all campus residence halls, regardless of what surface they’re being adhered to.
  • No adhesives should be placed on furniture.
  • The use of nails, screws, and staples on walls, doors, and furniture is prohibited.
  • Students will be charged for any damage incurred in their room while they lived there.
  • Students must record any existing damages at check-in on their Check-In Room Inspection on the Housing Portal.
