 The following people are eligible to stay in the Summer Hall:

• Students of the previous spring semester

• Students enrolled in classes for the summer terms

• Students who will be enrolled in classes for the upcoming fall semester

• Those who are employed by WKU

• Those who are participating in an internship at WKU

All outstanding balances with the department of Housing & Residence Life must be paid in full before moving in to summer housing. Those with an outstanding balance will not be permitted to check in to the summer hall. Contact the Office of Student Billing & Account Services to make your payment.

Room Occupancy	Rate
Double Occupancy	$26/Day $182/Week
Single Occupancy	$35/Day $245/Week

*Private rooms are limited and are assigned on a first come, first serve basis.

 

If staying the full summer from opening day through intercession housing for fall, which is a total of 101 nights,  the total summer term charge is $2626 for a double room, and $3535 for a private.

The charge will be added to the student’s University bill in two billing cycles: May 4 through June 30 and July 1 through August 14.   Housing charges will be added to the students bill, and due according to the university’s payment due dates.

Summer housing fees will be charged at the time of check-in for the entire length of the summer, including the week at their fall assignment (if applicable).  If a student stays for only a portion of the summer, the rate will be pro-rated by days stayed in the summer hall and adjusted for date of checkout.

Fees will be added to a student's university bill, and will be due according to the university's tuition and fees schedule. 

A hold will be placed on the student's University account for failure to pay, which will prevent them from being able to register, drop/add classes, or receive transcripts until the fee is paid in full.

Advanced registration is required for residents who will be moving directly into summer school housing from their Spring assignment before the halls close from the spring semester.

Advanced registration will begin on April 1, 2024 online in the Housing Portal. Those registering early will receive their room assignment at check-in.

Students who are moving in throughout the summer should register at least 1 business day in advance through the Housing Portal (via my.wku.edu).

When you are ready to move in to the summer hall, go to the summer residence hall to check into a room at the front desk. The front desk is open 24/7 and available to assign you a room at any time.
