The Future of WKU Housing & Residence Life
WKU Housing & Residence Life is optimizing the on-campus living experience for current and future students through a 10-year plan to renovate and construct residence halls on WKU's Bowling Green campus.
After an in-depth review of current housing options and extensive focus groups, interviews, and surveys with current WKU students, HRL identified opportunities to improve and enhance the learning-centered community of on-campus living for WKU students.
The improvements made will further promote campus living involvement, intensify each student's connection to WKU, and provide a premier living-learning experience.
WKU Housing & Residence Life strategic plan was approved by the WKU Student Life Foundation.
Towers were added to the existing lobbies, which included elevators, large kitchens, community spaces, study rooms, and theater rooms.
Bathroom renovations were completed in Bemis Lawrence, Barnes Campbell, Douglas Keen, Hugh Poland, and Minton Halls.
The McLean Hall lobby was renovated.
Located in the "Valley, " Hilltopper Hall houses 400 students and features a Makerspace, study rooms, and a large community space. Hilltopper Hub, a 24-hour all-you-can-eat dining location, is located on the main level and is open to the community.
